Windward started with a frustration every owner on this water knows. The boat is a joy for the hours you’re on it and a chore for the rest, and finding help that shows up, communicates, and treats a six-figure vessel like it matters was harder than it should be.
So we built the operator we wished existed: tight local routes, uniformed and background-checked crew, a documented record for every hull, and a care standard borrowed from professional yacht crew, where clean means guest-ready. Every piece exists to serve the mission. A boat that is always ready is a boat that gets used.

An All-American sailor who went on to captain and work aboard private yachts, Emily spent years in a world where the job is simple and unforgiving: every surface perfect, every detail anticipated, every guest handled without asking. That bar is now the company standard. She sets it, she trains every crew member to it, and she's the one who answers when you text.
Justin · Co-Founder · Operations & Systems
Justin is an entrepreneur, technologist, and lifelong waterman. He founded Wavelength, a brand and marketing agency, and builds software for a living, which is why Windward runs on systems most service companies have never seen. Nothing about your boat lives in someone's head or the back of a truck. Off the clock, he's on the water, usually behind a kite.
We live on this water, and we built Windward because the boats on it deserved a company run like one.

Detailing gets the salt off. Hospitality is why the boat comes back fingerprint-free with the cushions dressed. Our standard comes from professional yacht stewarding, interior presentation and client experience held to charter-level expectations, a credential a guy with a truck can’t replicate.
Inside the company we put it in one line: we are crew, not cleaners. Every vessel leaves guest-ready, as if the owner steps aboard within the hour. A guest-ready boat is an invitation, and that is the point. It’s the difference you’ll notice the first time you step aboard after a visit.
